Potassium fluoroaluminate (chemical formula: $KAlF_4$ or $K_3AlF_6$ complex), commonly known as an inorganic flux or aluminum flux, is a widely used white inorganic salt in industrial applications. Due to its excellent physicochemical properties, it has become an indispensable auxiliary material in modern industrial production.
The primary application of potassium fluoroaluminate is in aluminum brazing. As a highly effective flux, it effectively removes the oxide film from the surface of aluminum alloys, lowers the melting point, and improves the wettability of the molten solder, thereby achieving high-strength metal connections. In addition, it is often used as a magnesium removal agent in the aluminum processing industry, significantly improving the purity of the alloy.
